Travel to the United States

From 20th January 2010, travellers to the United States under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) must have travel authorisation.
The VWP allows most British Citizen passport holders to visit for up to 90 days without a visa. This must be authorised through the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) at least 72 hours prior to travel; visitors should register through the ESTA website. Travellers who do not have an ESTA will be denied travel to the United States of America.
