Cholera in Yemen (Update 4)

On 6 July 2017 the World Health Organisation reported
50 998 suspected cholera cases and 218 associated deaths from 28 June to 4 July 2017.
Since October 2016, 275 987 suspected cholera cases and 1634 deaths have been reported in Yemen. The four most affected governorates are Amanat Al Asimah, Al Hudaydah, Hajjah and Amran where 47.9% of cases have been reported since 27 April 2017.
Advice to Travellers
Cholera is a low risk for most travellers. Travellers to outbreak areas who will be mixing closely with the local population and cannot ensure safe drinking water can be immunised against cholera. A high standard of food/water precautions and personal hygiene should be maintained whenever possible.
