Mental health issues are common and are a leading cause or ill health and repatriation in travellers.
Some travellers are thought be at higher risk of having mental health problems, such as business travellers. In addition, many factors directly related to travel, such as jet lag, sleep deprivation and language barriers, can cause stress and anxiety and thereby have a negative impact on mental health.
The new page offers some helpful guidance. We also link to IAMAT (International Association for Medical Assistance to Travellers) website, where further advice can be sought and leaflets for travellers downloaded.
